Overview Reports to the Senior Director of Food and Beverage. Service standards are met at all times by coordinating activities of Team Members engaged in selling alcoholic beverages. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting property’s
    “Unsurpassed Service” standards at all times.  Inform the Director of any product shortages and equipment needs.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with TIPS training guidelines.
  • Inspect establishment and observe Team Members and Guests to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and local liquor regulations.
  • Have knowledge of where your SDS booklet is located for your area and update with department information as necessary.
  • Responsible for informing Manager on Duty of any Team Member or Guest opportunities.
  • Responsible for carrying out all policies and procedures of the casino and/or Food and Beverage Department.
  • Interview, hire and train new Team Members in their job duties.
  • Meet or exceed all budget criteria in managing the department monthly costs.
  • Plans and arranges promotional programs and advertisement.
  • Evaluate and oversee job performance of all Beverage Team Members.
  • Manage compliance with all brand related initiatives in the Beverage Department.
  • Responsible for all scheduling activities including setting schedules, posting and bidding out shifts, and assigning job duties while maintaining Team Member’s hours for proper staffing.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare documentation for labor costs.
  • Suggest and initiate necessary changes and improvements as approved.
  • Ensures that the floor is rotated properly to give our guests the best experience while visiting.
  • Responsible for Team Member engagement and morale. Must be upbeat and positive, lead by example, talk to their team, and engage in phenomenal guest service.
  • Ensure Team Member safety.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all beverage areas.
  • Responsible for beer and liquor inventory.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Four (4) years of experience as a bar manager with a high volume beverage background required. Casino Beverage experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick judgment decisions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity in his or her decision-making ability even when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail in both products, service and the appearance of all operating Beverage outlets.
  • Excellent analytical skills enhancing the ability to understand the activity of the department.
