|Responsible for the overall upkeep, and maintenance of a fully-integrated oceanfront resort property which includes two hotels, three restaurants, an executive golf course, and more than a dozen tennis courts. Coordinates and manages special projects pertaining to engineering under the direction and the guidelines of the Company, with direct responsibility for supervising the engineering staff, monitoring preventative maintenance programs, and managing operating expenses. Promotes and follows the company’s service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.

|The overall maintenance of the guest room and the facilities influence member, guest and fellow employee impression of the total organization. Clean, well-maintained guest rooms, facilities, and equipment will contribute to member and guest comfort and satisfaction.
|Assists in the supervision of employees in the Engineering/Grounds Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

|Education and/or experience
|Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from Twoyear College or technical school; and/or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
|Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English with customers, managers, vendors, or employees of organization.
|Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
|Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

|Employees in the position of engineering/grounds interact frequently with all the departments, tenants and guests. Employees must have the ability to communicate effectively and work with the many departments along with designated guests or vendors.
|This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone.
