Overview

Oversee all slot department activities and maintain accurate accountability of all slots; provide a friendly and positive service to all guests.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize a yearly slot budget.
  • Participates in administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
  • Must be fully aware of internal controls, title 31, and division orders.
  • Training and continued maintenance of internal controls are required.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasts data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objective.
  • Market the slot department with slot tournaments, new slot machines, etc.
  • Responsible for hiring, overseeing disciplinary action and terminations.
  • Oversee the processing of evaluations and promotions for all slot employees.
  • Continued training of staff required.
  • Implements new and challenging ways to have fun at work.
  • Good rapport with people ensuring that it filters down in a positive way.

Manages subordinates who supervise employees in the Slot Department.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or ten to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Louisiana State Key Gaming LACT and/or TIPS card required.
