Position Summary:
Under general direction from the Chief Operating Officer, accomplishes the objectives of the all aspects of the Sportsbook and Internet Gaming operation by creating and maintaining a work environment that promotes teamwork, employee development and satisfaction, and assignments to ensure the production of high standards in customer service for the company. Maintains strict confidentiality of all information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serves as primary liaison between the contracted vendors and casinos for on-line gaming operations such as marketing promotional ideas/concepts, platform changes, game content upgrades or issues, service announcements, daily report exchanges, customer support reports, escalated player requests/complaints, and gaming enforcement requests for approval, revision, disapproval or negotiation. Works directly with the casinos to resolve any questions/concerns.
  • Reviews service announcements, complex/high profile cyber security concerns, responsible gaming cases, and player activity for immediate decisions required by this position.
  • Ensures reporting requirements are established and maintained for the online gaming sites.
  • Monitors and reviews daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports for all business, operational, IT, and reconciliation activity by the sites to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Oversees and coordinates contracts with third party payments vendors, professional services contract with primary platform provider, third party gaming providers (casino platform games), MICS (minimum internal control standards) for platform provider, Geolocation provider, Testing lab, and Multi-State Internet Gaming Licensee Agreement.
  • Represents the Enterprise in negotiating and resolving contractual terms or modifications with all contracted vendors.
  • Determines the player’s experience, platform impact, revenue increase/decrease on proposed modifications and makes recommendations to the COO.
  • Works with current or future contracted vendors, casinos, and primary vendor employees to analyze and develop plans for internet gaming development and implementation.
  • Provides customer/player relations by managing/resolving escalated player cases from contracted customer support team.
  • Assists the contracted customer support/fraud department in analysis of any suspicious player behavior. Presents the case and recommendation to the appropriate persons for criminal review.
  • Assists with developing and implementing long range marketing plans.
  • Approves promotional and marketing concepts/ideas from contracted vendors to maximize revenue.
  • Conducts routine needs assessments, identifies areas to refine training and development of departments employees
  • Provides employees with feedback and counseling as needed regarding work performance, attendance and adherence to all company policies and procedures as well as government regulations
  • Manages departmental training programs to include policies and procedures, Title 31, Regulation 22, new game procedures, and any other training required to bridge skills gap.
  • Ensures employees maintain compliance with all required trainings and certifications.
  • Coordinates with Marketing and Advertising departments on all departmental activities and related communication with management of the social media.
  • Effectively communicates with all Sportsbook employees through daily update meetings, departmental meetings, postings and other forms of communication to ensure team is well informed of department, property and company information. Manages the scheduling of Race & Sports personnel and ensures the schedules are based on business need.
  • Communicates any needs or concerns with the COO of Sportsbook operations
  • Develops implements and maintains guest database records as they relate to tournament entries, tournament winnings, cash game play, and ensures these databases accurately reflect guest play.
  • Acts as a Liaison between the legal Department and any outside agencies seeing player information in a lawful manner.
  • Position requires general knowledge of the company’s mobile apps. This includes but is not limited to: Promotion of the app with guests, knowledge of application (including deposits and withdrawals), and ability to troubleshoot any problems guests may have with application.
  • Assists with research, development, evaluation and implementation of new technology and processes to ensure the company maintains a competitive position within the industry.
  • Partners with other departments like Human Resources, Accounting, Surveillance, Security, Slots, Table Games, Finance, Cage and other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures are being met and followed consistently.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, plus
  • Ten (10) years’ senior management experience in sportsbook and internet gaming operations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing marketing strategies and developing long range plans, promotional effectiveness and risk assessments for sportsbook and internet gaming.
  • Must meet all knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, accounting, and cost control procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, processing, systems, and configuration.
  • Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.
  • Skill in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing operational and financial reports.
  • Skill in supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods, walk and stand; use hands for dexterity of motion; stoop, bend, kneel or crouch, and have normal auditory, visual acuity, and verbal communications skills. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to a moderate noise level. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
