With the Hospitality and Gaming Industry hiring at an all-time-high pace, several leaders in the industry are asking their peers to consider hiring a returning veteran.
The Hospitality Heroes Initiative was first proposed in 2014 by executive recruiter Dennis P. Rizzo. Rizzo is a Vietnam-era United States Marine Corps veteran who—thanks to an industry leader, got a restart in the hotel business after returning from overseas.
Rizzo says much of the training gained in the military prepares veterans for tough assignments in any industry.

With the Hospitality and Gaming Industry expected to add an additional 62,000 jobs between now and 2024, the need to recruit strong, capable employees who can grow with an organization has never been more important.
